Upon successful completion of this learning experience, students will be able to recognize a range of Jewish objects, artists, and genres (categories or depictions of everyday life); use art historical terminology to reference artistic elements, styles, and genres; demonstrate an understanding of the issues related to the concept of Jewish art; demonstrate familiarity with the historical and social contexts in which Jewish art developed.

Course offers a look at the objects and ideas that contribute to our understanding of Jewish art.
