Installing Sheet Goods

Learner Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: identify various types of resilient flooring and explain best usages; install resilient flooring using the hand-fit, direct scribe, and pattern scribe methods; and underscribe a seam.

Instruction: 
The course focuses on layout, seaming and installation of "sheet goods" such as vinyl, rubber, and linoleum. Instruction is provided in how to cut seams in sheet flooring using the underscribe procedure to join seams with a liquid seam sealer.
Credit recommendation: 

In the lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 1 semester hour in Floor Covering or related disciplines (9/10) (9/17 revalidation). NOTE: This course must be taken in conjunction with Resilient Flooring Fundamentals to receive credit.
