(List of degree programs generally contains those that are designed to accommodate working adults and nontraditional students.) Accelerated degree programs include Associate of Science in Business Administration, Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Arts in Financial Management, Health Care Management, Human Performance Management, Information Technology in Business, and/or Organization Dynamics (also offered totally on-line). Most other majors are available in traditional format including Accounting, Dietetics, English, Information Technology, Music Therapy, Psychology, and Home Economics Education.
- The University awards credit based on the following measurements of noncollegiate learning: proficiency examinations (CLEP, ACT-PEP, DANTES, Challenge Exams), formal noncollegiate coursework for which credit recommendations have been established by NCCRS or ACE-CCRS, military experiences recommended for credit by ACE, and individualized prior learning assessment.
- Up to 50% of a student's degree may be earned through these methods.
- Traditional and accelerated credit courses are offered day, evening, weekend and at off-campus sites.
- Credit for Prior Learning allows students who have substantial life experience to obtain college credit for the learning from that experience.
- Special support services and activities facilitate the return of men and women to college studies.
- Workshops and seminars reflect the needs and interests of the lifelong learner.
